The timber is a creamy white colour and often contains heartwood streaks of yellowish brown to olive green. It is a very nice hardwood to work with and has a fine straight grain. It machines, cuts and screws very well. Commonly used in the making of cabinets and solid wood kitchens. It is particularly popular for painting. Available in 9mm, 18mm and 25mm thicknesses.
