This Solid Hardwood has excellent, natural insulating properties and is well known for its sound deadening and acoustic characteristics. This makes it ideal for use in any residential or commercial environment, where these benefits are important. The panels are stable and strong; however, they are flexible and light in weight. This makes them far easier to hold in place and fit than heavy MDF veneered boards. This is particularly important for ceilings. Fix onto battens for additional sound proofing, or glue them with mastic glue directly onto the wall surface. The panel grooves are machined vertically. They butt together seamlessly, moulding perfectly to your wall surface. Unlike our competitors who generally import veneered boards from the Far East, we mill the solid timber sheets at our Suffolk factory to ensure quality control. Our Solid Hardwood is a competitive alternative to oak. It is carefully kiln dried to 10/12% moisture content, which is ideal for internal use. You won't experience any shrinkage. Our panels have a sanded surface which is ideal for any type of finish. Oil, wax, varnish and paint all work perfectly with this premium product. The panel size is height 2400mm x width 600mm x thickness 18mm.
